Ned Crecelius, Founder & President

Ned Crecelius brings 20 years of business and sales experience to his role as president of NewBizDev. Before founding the firm in 2006, Ned spent three years as a Senior Inside Sales Representative for BAO Inc., where he worked to set sales appointments for technology companies. He was the company’s top producer in 2003.

Ned’s prior experience was in the broadcasting industry, where he has owned and operated several radio stations, including the station currently known as Bloomberg for Boston.

As president of Taildragger Communications LLC from 1998-2002, Ned led the sales outsourcing consulting practice for IT and communications companies and worked with broadcasting companies such as Entercom and Citadel and marketing communications firms that included Vestcom and American Express Financial Advisors. He also enjoyed strategic alliances with other sales consulting service companies, including the Arthur D. Little Inc. Media and Entertainment practice.

Ned also spent 10 years at The Christian Science Monitor in positions that included General Manager of The Christian Science Monitor Syndicate, New York Advertising Manager, Creative Services Manager and Educational Circulation Sales Manager. As International Advertising Sales Representative, Ned successfully sold space and newspaper supplements to Ministerial and corporate C-Level executives in more than a dozen countries.

Ned earned an MBA in Marketing from Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in English from Principia College. Some of his interests have included teaching International Marketing at Babson College, serving on non-profit boards, and coaching youth travel teams in soccer, basketball and softball. Married with two children at Middlebury College, Ned lives in Newton, MA.
